Breaking News
The report
John King, then aged between eight and eleven, was a passenger on the Bonetta. According to Abijah Savage, the Bonetta's commander, the pirate looted the ship for 15 days during which time King demanded to join Bellamy's crew [scribbled-out word] from being forced [scribbled-out word] or compelled to join. Savage wrote a report: "He declaird he would kill him self if he was a restraid or [scribbled-out word] threatend his mother."
Decoration
The masthead is drawn in two-tone bubble letters over double rules, the whole page bordered in yellow and brown marker, with red X marks in the corners. The word "time" carries an inserted letter above a caret — an edit made mid-sentence and left visible, like the scribbles.
